Our groundfishing charters are typically day trips, departing early in the morning and returning in the evening. All federal and state laws are followed to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. The experience is nothing short of exciting, as you’ll have the opportunity to catch a variety of fish, including Haddock, Atlantic Cod, Atlantic Halibut, Hake, Pollock, and Atlantic Red Fish.

Our day trip groundfishing experiences last about 10 hours, and most trips result in dozens to hundreds of fish caught! Our knowledgeable crew will help you make the most of your day with the best fishing spots, techniques, and equipment for groundfishing in Maine. Don’t settle for less than the best!

Pricing and What’s Included

Our groundfishing charters are priced at $1800 for up to 6 people. This includes all bait, tackle, and equipment needed for the trip, as well as the mate’s service in filleting and bagging your catch. Please note that while this service is included, a 20% tip for the mate is customary, as most groundfishing trips result in dozens or hundreds of fish being filleted.

Oh, The Groundfish You’ll Catch!

Our charter guests have the opportunity to catch a variety of fish, including Haddock, Atlantic Cod, Atlantic Halibut, Hake, Pollock, and Red Fish. All fish caught on the trip are bled and iced as soon as they’re boated and then filleted and bagged up on the stern for our customers to enjoy.

Had a blast with Capt Kurt and Capt Erik! Caught two sharks and a bluefin (unfortunately, the bluefin snapped the line while I was reeling it in). Can’t wait to come back next summer and finally get the bluefin. They are the only charter to do overnights in the area.
